Hypnosis

What is therapeutic hypnosis?
How is this altered state of consciousness a key element in therapy?
To what extent can this tool be used?

To understand better, we must become actors. So, I became an actress. What a surprise to experience each emotion intensely in its own way. What a surprise to experience a new way of returning to oneself unburdened. What are we not actors of?

Hypnosis (n.) : The term hypnosis refers to both altered states of consciousness, therapeutic practices used during this state, and techniques to induce this state (known as induction techniques).

TRUST YOUR UNCONSCIOUS, THIS VAST STOREHOUSE OF SOLUTIONS.
M. Erickson

My hypnosis practice encompasses a set of techniques and accompaniment skills acquired through theoretical and practical training. As a master hypnologist, I work on states of consciousness and their construction, mental representations, and imagination, within a dynamic approach to individual and systemic subjectivity.

I assist in cognitive and behavioral change, mobilization of specific motivational and somato-affective resources to allow work focused on self-representations. I base my theoretical and practical foundations on various scientific and philosophical approaches: quantum physics, neuroscience, behavioral, cognitive, and constructivist approaches, psychology, and linguistics.

USE OF HYPNOSIS

And its benefits

  • Pedagogy and cognitive hygiene: Work on the management of emotions and other unconscious functions focused on behavioral, mental representations, and information management (rebalancing and management of addictions, smoking, weight, phobias, stress, blockages, intensified emotions).
  • Aid in personal evolution and adaptability: Work on resources in the face of life changes (grief, divorce, separation, new job, relocation).
  • Exploration of subjectivity: Work on personal and identity construction (introspection, self-awareness, dreams, archetypes).
  • Transmissions: Work on transgenerational, cellular memories, and realignment (allergies, diseases, phobias, pain, emotions, regressions).
  • Self-hypnosis: Work on daily well-being independently and responsibly (stress, sleep, pain).

F&Q

Therapeutic hypnosis is not the same as stage hypnosis. In the therapy setting, the therapist adjusts to the subject to ensure that the trance state they induce is most comfortable for them. Hypnosis is also a natural state in which we spend a significant part of our time (for example, when we are lost in thought or in front of a screen).

Your personal values and beliefs are present during hypnosis, so you cannot do something against your deep will. You only allow yourself to open up to a broader range of possibilities. The unconscious protects everyone’s integrity, and the only possibility is for you to fully exit the trance state. Additionally, in therapeutic hypnosis, the practitioner is often the one who suggests the most.

The trance state in hypnosis is a natural phenomenon we experience several times a day. During a hypnosis session, the conscious mind is not suppressed; it’s redirected. Also, the subject does not sleep during hypnosis. The brain has extraordinary and autonomous safety capabilities.

Hypnosis is a state between sleep and wakefulness but is not actual sleep. This is about an altered state of consciousness, not sleep. The conscious mind is redirected, and the practitioner addresses the unconscious to access resources beyond the ego. The hypnotherapist allows the patient to experience an expanded field of consciousness. That’s why some people may feel like they weren’t hypnotized after a session (the depth of NGH also affects the experience and work).

While therapeutic hypnosis (different from speed hypnosis for entertainment) can sometimes lead to spectacular changes, the client must do 50% of the work. They must be unconsciously ready and accept the suggestions presented.

A hypnosis session lasts 75 minutes, either in person or via video conference. It revolves around the specific issue you want to address, and during the session, I take the time to listen for as long as you need. This initial phase of conversational hypnosis can sometimes be enough. Together, we determine your needs, intentions, and the session’s goal. Then, I guide you through a safe and empathetic hypnosis session. The session is personalized and includes various techniques. Each client is unique, and I always adapt my sessions to your needs. Depending on the issue, it is common and more beneficial to be in a light trance state, known as hypnoidal, which might feel familiar; nevertheless, the unconscious work is remarkable. For others, a somnambulistic state is more effective, and we work on that together.

As a guide, my duty is to empower you to be responsible and self-reliant through our sessions. I will allow you to observe the changes in your life in a compassionate manner. Additionally, I sometimes assign tasks for further improvement. If you wish, you can schedule follow-up appointments in the same manner.

To assist you in continuing to implement what we have worked on together, you will also receive support via email after our sessions have concluded.

I recommend contacting me by email before scheduling an appointment. This allows me to ensure that your request falls within the scope of hypnosis and allows for a customized session. This initial contact will also give you an idea of what hypnosis is like with me and allow you to decide whether to continue the work. Sessions are available worldwide via video conference or, on certain days, in person at Anaïs’s office in Saujon (17600), near Royan.

F&Q

Is everyone receptive to hypnosis?

Therapeutic hypnosis is not the same as stage hypnosis. In the therapy setting, the therapist adjusts to the subject to ensure that the trance state they induce is most comfortable for them. Hypnosis is also a natural state in which we spend a significant part of our time (for example, when we are lost in thought or in front of a screen).

Will I lose control during the session?

Your personal values and beliefs are present during hypnosis, so you cannot do something against your deep will. You only allow yourself to open up to a broader range of possibilities. The unconscious protects everyone’s integrity, and the only possibility is for you to fully exit the trance state. Additionally, in therapeutic hypnosis, the practitioner is often the one who suggests the most.

Can I get stuck in a trance state?

Will I be unconscious and/or asleep?

The conscious mind is redirected, and the practitioner addresses the unconscious to access resources beyond the ego. The hypnotherapist allows the patient to experience an expanded field of consciousness. TO BECOME BETTER

And what if it were that simple? Or, why not act as if it were?

Granting oneself permission is the most beautiful gift. We erect our own limiting and immobilizing barriers.

Kill your dragon, free yourself from its grip.

This world is the gateway. It’s a barrier. And, at the same time, it’s the passage.
